The rule is that when you start a blog, you have to start blog with a specific niche, we call it a micro niche, Start with specific niche. It will help you mainly in two things

1. To rank higher on google  so when you create number of articles, which are connected together talking about the  same niche, sand to generate huge organic traffic.
2. When we write about a micro niche or a specific niche, we are targeting a specific audience and this is really very important so when someone opens your blog and you are writing about a certain topic he will tell other people.

Number one rule is when you start you have to pick a micro niche, a specific niche and target a specific audience.

Next rule that, it is not necessary to stick with a single niche for years and years, you can expand your blog niche as you are getting results. It's   a good choice to expand your reach also and reach more people. But make sure that you should not change your main niche of blog, for example if you have started with cooking and then it is not advisable to writing about digital marketing.

You are going to select a specific niche and you are going to target a specific audience then later on you can expand and evolve your topics and expand your reach.

There are lot of niches that we can start with. Very firstly pick a niche and focus very well. While picking up a blog niche, there are main two factors to be consider

2. Interest

You must have the skill to write about niche and you must have interested in that niche. If you can combine them together you will be successful.

It's not obligatory to be interested in the niche but its better if you have the passion to learn about it. It’s okay you can learn about it you can  share what you are learning you can document in your blog what you are learning as a beginner. How  you are learning a certain skill this is a topic   also give some time for imagination and try  to find some specific niches to write about in a certain topic.

For example you picked up an email marketing as your blog niche and want to write about it, simply go to your web browser and search about it. You’ll find a lot of articles related to email marketing. Now copy a URL of any blog and paste that link to buzzsumo.com. You will find content which is popular in that website related to your niche, popularity in facebook and much more

I want to tell you that you don't have to be an expert in your field to start a blog. Nobody is perfect but what makes you a good blogger is just share your real experiences, real case studies even if you are beginner. Also share your failures so other can avoid that failures.
